Rucika Rainwater System

Rapid population/settlement and industrial growth has resulted in reduced water catchment areas. This puts a huge burden on the environment and existing drainage systems in residential areas. During the rainy season, when heavy rains often occur, the flow of rainwater will exceed the capacity of the existing drainage and sewer systems, which will pose a risk to people’s health and property. PT Wahana Duta Jaya Rucika has developed a new system to overcome this, namely the Rucika Rainwater System, a rainwater control system.

Rucika Rainwater System can be used separately or connected with other systems such as roof drainage, street drainage, canals and other drainage systems. The Rucika Rainwater System unit can be used for temporary water storage, where the structure of the Rucika Rainwater System unit underground is covered with a waterproof geomembrane. Functioning as an infiltration well, the Rucika Rainwater System can also be used as an alternative for rainwater disposal by absorbing rainwater into the ground, for this a permeable geotextile wrap is required. That way the Rucika Rainwater System provides a Green concept and special solutions to meet the needs of rainwater management for housing, civil and infrastructure development, so that it can support environmental sustainability by applying the Reduce, Reuse, Recycle (3R) principle.
