Difference Between Standard PVC Pipes and JIS PVC Pipes

Rucika as a pipe producer has produced a lot of pipes based on their uses and has been distributed to many areas that are commonly applied by the community for homes, namely Rucika Standard Pipes and Rucika JIS Pipes. Many people in general also ask the difference between the two types of pipes. In addition to the striking difference of the white and gray pipe colors, there are other differences that need to be known so that it is appropriate when applying them. Let’s get to know the difference between Rucika Standard Pipes and Juc Rucika Pipes:

1. Pipeline Standardization

Rucika Standard pipe or commonly known by the public is a white pipe, where the Rucika Standard pipe is produced based on market standards. Market standards are pipe standards that have been circulating in the general public and are not regulated by any standard. As for the Rucika JIS pipe or known by the general public gray pipe, it is produced with reference to the Japanese Industrial Standard, which influences the thickness of the pipe.

2. Thickness of the Pipe

The thickness of the Rucika Standard pipe is not regulated by the standard but its outer diameter must be adjusted to the fittings that have been circulating in the market. The Rucika Standard AW pipe (for clean water) at a size of 4 “(114 mm) has a wall thickness of 4.10 mm while the Rucika Pipe JIS VP (for clean water) at a size of 4” (114 mm) has a thickness of 6.60 mm. The thickness of the walls in the Rucika JIS pipe is influenced by a higher safety factor where the Japanese standard anticipates natural disasters that often occur in Japan.

Based on the differences mentioned above, the general public can determine the choice of pipes that are suitable for use in their respective homes or high rise buildings.
